The Leadership Council is requesting your input on the Bylaws. Your feedback is important, and all members are encouraged to share their ideas. Please note Articles 9-12 are for review in October. Suggestions must be submitted in writing and can be given to your auxillary president placed in the suggestion box at the foot of the podium or given to any member of the Leadership Council. If you need a copy of the Bylaws, please contact Deacon Frank Price.
**It’s the time of the year we normally start collecting turkeys. But this year, we currently do not have freezer space to accommodate turkeys that are brought in. If you would like to make a monetary donation toward the purchase of turkeys for Thanksgiving, please mark your church envelope donation for Turkey purchase.
To sign up for a turkey, please see Sister Whiney Gipson, Alma Waller, or Theresa Dantzler. The deadline to sign up for a turkey is November 16th. Turkey distribution will be on the 21st of November.
On next Sunday, November 16th, the State Foreign Mission Rally will be held at Sherman Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS. The van will leave at 12:30. If you plan to go, please get in touch with Alma Waller as soon as possible so we can get an accurate count.
The Brotherhood is collecting toiletries for their Annual Prison Ministry Project. Items being collected are toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner. NO mouthwash and all toothbrushes must be individually packaged. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, it can be given to Deacon Charles Guy or any Brotherhood member for more details.
Krewe Unique is not taking applications for their Annual toy giveaway. Please see Brother Greg Gipson for an application. They are also taking donations of new unwrapped toys for a monetary donation.
Reverend Robinson is the guest speaker for Reverend Fairley’s Anniversary on December 4th at 3:00 pm., and they are inviting the church to come celebrate with them.
